Fish & Stay Packages

Stay at one of our water and mountain view vacation rentals homes during your Tofino fishing trip and enjoy the view from the deck, soak in the hot tub, and cook your catch on the BBQ. Tidewater is located close to the dock and walking distance from many of Tofino's best restaurants. The Flats at Jensen's Bay is on the inlet and close to South Chesterman's beach. Relax after a great day on the water.

During August and September warm, clear blue water pushes north into the deep water canyons to the southwest of Tofino bringing with it an entire ecosystem that would typically be found in seas far to the south of Vancouver Island. Among the fishes are the Albacore Tuna.

When the seas are calm we are able to access some terrific bottom fishing out on the edge of the continental shelf. Get out the electric reels, drop down to 500 - 700 feet and load up on Sablefish (black cod), ling cod, rockfish and the odd Halibut. We frequently see whales and large pods of dolphins on the shelf!

Spot Prawns, Dungeness Crab, winter Chinook Salmon. Enjoy the calm, scenic waters of Clayoquot Sound this winter and at the end of the day dine on fresh, wild Seafood. We regularly see Sea Otters and Sea lions and sometimes spot whales and wolves. A great family adventure.

This week on the water

Halibut and prawns are on the menu this month and we have some great bottom fishing options for Lingcod and Rockfish. The scenery is spectacular, there are a bunch of Humpback whales offshore, sea otters and sea lions in the protected inside waters. Its a great time to get out on the water and come home with some fresh seafood!

Chinook retention; Yes! You can keep 2 Chinook salmon year round in Tofino. During the spring and early summer the fishing picks up along the outside edge of the islands.
