A high hours charter guide in Tofino, British Columbia for the last 16 years averaging over 1000 charter fishing hours per season, Lochie has the ability to consistently produce fish while maintaining a high regard for his client’s comfort and level of expertise. A strong whitewater background has enabled Lochie to drift remote rivers and access some of the best freshwater fly-fishing British Columbia has to offer. A keen fisherman, experienced river runner and an educator, Dan is always ready to share his knowledge of the west coast ecosystems whether marine or old growth forest. When not guiding, Dan is the Executive Director of the Raincoast Education Society in Tofino. Professional Qualifications include: Marine First Aid, Marine Emergency Duties A3, Restricted Radio operator's Certificate, Small Vessel Operator Proficiency and M.Sc. in Forest Ecology from the University of Victoria.
